Muhammad ...An extraordinary tolerance model (2)

These are a few examples of Prophet Muhammad’s tolerance. His life was full of tolerant stands. May Allah send His peace and blessings on him.

The Jewish man

Prophet Muhammad had a Jewish neighbour who used to throw garbage and dead animals in his way every day when he came out of his house. This man was absent for a while. Prophet Muhammad decided to pass by his house and ask about him. He found him ill and accordingly paid him a visit!

Face to face with Hend!

After he returned to Mecca victoriously, men and women came to pledge him. Hend the daughter of O’tba was among those women, but she was disguised. She was afraid of the prophet’s revenge for what she did after Ohod. She had taken Hamza’s liver (Hamza is the prophet’s uncle) out of his dead body and chewed it! In addition, she, along with others, cut parts of the Muslim martyrs’ bodies and used them as earrings and accessories!
For all of this and for having a long history of enmity with the prophet and his followers, she expected that if he recognized her, he would kill her. The prophet actually, recognized her from her speech, but he smiled and forgave her instead!

They were afraid of Omar!

A number of women gathered and agreed to meet prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. They talked to him and argued with loud voices, but when Omar ibn Al-Khattab came, they hided from him. The prophet laughed. Omar asked him about the reason why he did, he told him what had been going on before his arrival. Omar got angry with those women and blamed them. They told him that he was much harsher than the prophet was, that was why they were not afraid of the prophet, but were afraid from Omar!

Who protects you from me?

Aouf ibn Al-Hareth fought against Muslims. He surprised everyone when he reached the prophet, peace be upon him, and threatened him with his sword asking him: “who protects you from me?” the prophet answered “Allah.” The sword fell from Aouf’s hand and the prophet took it. It was his turn to ask Aouf: “who protects you from me?” Aouf asked him for forgiveness. The prophet asked if he would embrace Islam, Aouf answered that he would not, but he would not fight Muslims after then. The prophet set him free. When Aouf returned to his people, he told them that he came to them after meeting the best man on earth!

Isn’t he a human being?!

A funeral passed by the prophet and some of his companions. He stood in his place and overawed. His companions got surprised, as it was the funeral of a Jew.
The prophet asked: “isn’t he a human being?!”

Have you ever been offended?
Have you ever felt persecution or oppression?
Tell me - if you have - how do feel about your oppressor and those who offend you?
Tell me what you are to do, if you have the chance to take revenge?
While you think about the answer, I will tell you a story. 1400 years ago, an Arab man started his call to Allah, the Lord of this universe. He was sent by Allah to lead atheists to monotheism, but really, it was a very hard mission.
Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was faced with all kinds of harm and persecution even from his relatives.
His uncle Abu Lahab and his wife Umm Jameel came on the top of the list. They used to insult him and arouse suspicions about the honesty of his call. Moreover, Umm Jameel used to throw thorns in his way.
The atheists of Quraish used to throw garbage on his body while he was praying. The prophet’s daughter Fatema usually removed this garbage.
They started to torture his weak followers using all possible techniques! They put bani Hashim and bani Abd El- Mottalib under siege and decided to boycott them totally.
The prophet and his followers were about to starve.
The atheists of Quraish also, claimed that he was no more than a mad man, a magician or a poet who had a great influence on those who listened to him.
Regardless of all of this, he used to pray for them and ask Allah to forgive them and lead them to the right path, as they did not know it!
Moreover, when prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, entered Mecca and the atheists surrendered almost without any fight, they were captivated. Imagine what he did…he set them free and did not think of revenge for what they did in the past!
This is the real tolerant face of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him

What do Muslims believe about Muhammad peace be upon him ?
All praise is due to Allah and may peace and blessing be upon his servant and Messenger Muhammad and on his household and all of his Companions.

Muhammad Was Sent To All Of Mankind
The first implication of the testimony that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah is the belief that Allah sent the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) to all mankind and the jinn until the Day of Judgement.

Allah states in the Qur'aan in Soorah 7 Al-'Araaf Aayah 151 Say (to them O Muhammad): O Mankind! I am the Messenger of Allah to you all, (the Messenger) of Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and of the earth. There is no god but He. He gives life, and makes to die.Believe then in Allah, and in His Messenger (Muhammad), the Prophet who could neither read nor write, who believes in Allah and in His Words (the Qur'aan), and follows him so that perhaps you will be guided.
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) has said: And the prophets were formerly sent to their people only, whereas I have been sent to all mankind.

The Finality Of Prophethood
The second implication of the testimony is to believe that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) is the final prohet to be sent to mankind. Allah states in the Qur'aan in Soorah 33 Al-Ahzaab Aayah 40 Muhammad is not the father of any one of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) has said:

And the line of the prophets is closed with me [Muslim] And: Before the Last Hour there will be great liars, so beware of them [Muslim]
The above proofs are sufficient to refute any of the heretical groups who claim any prophet or messenger after the Prophet Muhammad such as some contemporary groups do namely: the Nation of Islam who believe that Elijah Muhammad (deceased) was the Messenger of Allah the Qadianis and Ahmadiyyahs who state that Ghulam Ahmed (deceased) was the prophet the so called Submitters or followers of Rashad Khalifah (murdered) who claim that he was a prophet

Two Revelations
The third implication of the testimony "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" is to believe that Allah senth two revelations with the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam): the Qur'aan and the Sunnah.

Allah said: Allah was verily gracious to the believers by sending them a messenger from themsleves, to recite them His signs, and to purify them, and to teach them the scripture (the Qur'aan) and the wisdom (the Sunnah) though before that they were in manifest error.

[Soorah 3 Al-An'aam, Aayah 164]
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) has said:

I have been indeed been given the Qur'aan and something like it along with it. [Abu Dawood]

The Messenger Has Rights
The fourth implication of the testimony is that there are rights due to the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) that must be observed.

Among these are: To believe in all that the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) has said. To obey the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) in what he has commanded and forsake what he has forbidden or discouraged.

To worship according to the shari'ah (law) of the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and not by whims and innovations.

To judge by the shari'ah of the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and not by any other law.

To love the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) more than our parents, children, mankind, indeed our very selves.

Allah Most High states: Say (to them O Muhammad):

If you love Allah, follow me, and Allah will love you, and forgive your sins. Allah is All-Forgiving, Alla-Merciful. Say : Obey Allah and the Messenger. But if they turn away Allah loves not the disbelievers (kaafireen).

[Soorah Aali 'Imraan Aayatain 31 - 32]
And let those who oppose his (Muhammad's) command beware, lest a trial befall them (that would lead them to disbelief) or a painful punishment be inflicted on them.

[Soorah An-Noor Ayyah 63]
You have indeed a good example in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad) for whosoever hopes for Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

[Soorah Al-Ahzaab, Aayah 21]
It is not fitting for any believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter, to have a choice in their affair. And whosoever disobeys Allah and his Messenger, he has gone astray into manifest error.

[Soorah Al-Ahzaab, Aayah 36]
But no, by your Lord (Rabb), they can have no faith until they make you the judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, but accept (them) fully with submission.

[Soorah An-Nisaa Aayah 65]
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) has said:

All my people will enter Al-Jannah (The Garden) except those who refused. (On being asked about those who refused, he replied:)

He who obeys me will enter Al-Jannah, he who disobeys me has refused.

[Al-Bukhaari]
If anyone introduces into this affair of ours anything which does not belong to it, it is rejected. [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
None of you believes until I am dearer to him than his father, his child, and all of mankind

[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
There are three qualities for which anyone who is characterized by them will experience the sweetness of faith: He whom Allah and His Messenger are dearer than all else; He who loves a human being for Allah's sake alone; and who has as great an abhorence of returning to unbelief after Allah has rescued him from it as he has of being cast in Hell.

[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]

Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) Was A Man, Not Divine
The fifth implication of the testimony "Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah" is to believe that Muhammad (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) was only a man sent to us by Allah to be obeyed and that we do not worship him.

Allah has said: Say to them (O Muhammad)

'I am only a man like you; it is revealed to me that your God (ilaah) is only One God; so let him who hopes for the meeting with his Rabb do righteousness and not associate anything in the worship of his Rabb'.

[Soorah Al-Kahf Aayah 111]
The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) has said:

Do not over praise me as the Christians over-praised the son of Mary. I am His slave so say: 'Allah's slave and messenger'

[Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]
Let each an every claimant to the religion of Islam be aware of the proofs of his faith and the essential aspects of his testimony. This is especially important in these times when anyone can make any claim and get support for it no matter how outlandish or unfounded by making unauthentic historical or textual claims. We thank Allah for preserving His religion for those who would seek to know the truth and we ask Him to put us and keep us upon the Straight Path, Ameen.

كما تعلمون ويعلم الجميع أن الإسلام يواجه حرباً شرسة في الغرب وشوهت صورته، وكثرت الشبهات ضده.. فضلاً عن سوء معاملة المسلمين في البلاد الغربية وإهانتهم.. مما خلق شعوراً عاماً بالهزيمة النفسية لدى جماهير المسلمين..؟

هذا الهجوم الكبير على الإسلام والمسلمين في الغرب وخلق الذرائع والشبهات حوله يؤكد أن جسد الإسلام والأمة الإسلامية مازال حياً، ولو أن الأمة ميتة، ما ضربها أو هاجمها أحد، كما أن العداء والهجوم على الإسلام وتشويه صورته هو أمر طبيعي منذ نزول "اقرأ"، وحتى تقوم الساعة، ولنعلم أنه إذا لم يحدث عداء أو هجوم فهذا يدل على أن الأمة ميتة وكل ما يحدث من هجوم ومحاربة هذا أكبر دليل على صحوتها، وأذكر أن رابين يوم أن هنأ كارتر بنجاحه في الانتخابات الأمريكية قال: إن المارد الإسلامي بدأ يتململ، وكان نيكسون يقول "نحن نؤخر خروج المارد الإسلامي من القمقم". وقد عقد مؤتمر مؤخراً في الغرب حضرته النخبة الغربية والأوروبية وقالوا: إن الإسلام قادم إلى الغرب فماذا نحن فاعلون!! كل ذلك يؤكد ويدلل على أن العداء والهجوم الذي يكيلونه للإسلام والمسلمين في السنوات الأخيرة هو حقد وغيظ لنجاح الإسلامي وانتشاره، في بلادهم، وصدق الله العظيم: قد بدت البغضاء من أفواههم وما تخفي صدورهم أكبر قد بينا لكم الآيات إن كنتم تعقلون 118 (آل عمران)، وقوله: ولن ترضى" عنك اليهود ولا النصارى" حتى" تتبع ملتهم (البقرة:120).
نريدك أن توجه كلمة في الختام إلى من يشعرون بالإحباط النفسي من واقع الأحداث المؤلمة في الأمة والتحديات والضغوط والضعف وتداعي الأمم علينا في هذه المرحلة...؟!

أقول: إن أمتنا تمرض ولكن لا تموت، وأمتنا تضعف ولكن لا تنتهي ولا تنهزم.. أمتنا شروق لا غروب.. أمتنا أمة الخير والخيرية، والقرآن محفوظ من الله، والسنة المطهرة محفوظة، والإسلام قادم لا محالة، وعند اللحظة الفارقة الكبرى لن تختار البشرية إلا الإسلام.

رحمة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم

قال تعالى : (وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ) (الانبياء:107)



وعندما قيل له ادع على المشركين قال صلى الله عليه وسلم "إني لم أبعث لعانًا، وإنما بعثت رحمة" - رواه مسلم.



" قال عليه الصلاة والسلام : اللهم إنما أنا بشر ، فأيُّ المسلمين سببته أو لعنته ، فاجعلها له زكاة و أجراً " رواه مسلم ।



كان من دعاء النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : ( اللهم من وليَ من أمرِ أمتي شيئاً ، فشقَّ عليهم ، فاشقُق عليه ، و من ولي من أمر أمتي شيئاً ، فرفق بهم ، فارفق به )



قال صلى الله عليه وسلم : (هل ترزقون وتنصرون إلا بضعفائكم) رواه البخاري.



قال تعالى : فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِنَ اللَّهِ لِنْتَ لَهُمْ وَلَوْ كُنْتَ فَظّاً غَلِيظَ الْقَلْبِ لَانْفَضُّوا مِنْ حَوْلِكَ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ..) (آل عمران:159)




وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم في فضل الرحمة: (الراحمون يرحمهم الرحمن ، ارحموا من في الأرض يرحمكم من في السماء) رواه الترمذي وصححه الألباني .



وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم في أهل الجنة الذين أخبر عنهم بقوله: ( أهل الجنة ثلاثة وذكر منهم ورجل رحيم رقيق القلب لكل ذي قربى ومسلم ) رواه مسلم.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا

" O Prophet! We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good tidings and of warning, as a caller to Allah by His leave and as an illuminating lamp," ^{[Qur'an (33:45 - 46)]}

بعض من أخلاق رسولنا الكريم

تحلى الرسول الكريم صلى الله عليه وسلم
.
، بالاخلاق الفاضلة ، والشمائل الطيبة
.
، الوفاء بالعهد، وأداء الحقوق لأصحابها ، وعدم الغدر ، امتثالاً لأمر
.
الله في كتابه العزيز
.
حيث قال:
.
{ ولا تقربوا مال اليتيم إلا بالتي هي أحسن حتى يبلغ أشده و أوفوا
.
الكيل والميزان بالقسط لا نكلف نفسا الا وسعها
.
وإذا قلتم فاعدلوا ولو كان ذا قربى وبعهد الله اوفوا
.
ذلكم وصاكم به لعلكم تذكرون} (الأنعام 152) .
.
وتخلق الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم بهذا الخلق الكريم ظاهر بيّن
.
، سواء في تعامله مع ربه جل وعلا ، أو في تعامله مع أزواجه
.
، أو أصحابه ، أو حتى مع أعدائه .
.
ففي تعامله مع ربه كان صلى الله عليه وسلم
.
وفياً أميناً ، فقام بالطاعة والعبادة خير قيام ،
.
وقام بتبليغ رسالة ربه بكل أمانة ووفاء ،
.
فبيّن للناس دين الله القويم ، وهداهم إلى صراطه المستقيم
.
، وفق ما جاءه من الله ، وأمره به ،
.
قال تعالى:
.
{وأنزلنا إليك الذكر لتبين للناس ما نزل إليهم ولعلهم يتفكرون}
.
(سورة النحل 44)

. وكان وفياً مع زوجاته
فحفظ لخديجة رضي الله عنها مواقفها العظيمة ، وبذلها السخي
،
وعقلها الراجح ، وتضحياتها المتعددة ، حتى إنه لم يتزوج عليها
.
في حياتها ، وكان يذكرها بالخير بعد وفاتها ، ويصل أقرباءها ،
.
ويحسن إلى صديقاتها ، وهذا كله وفاءاً لها رضي الله عنها

. وكان وفياً لأقاربه ، فلم ينس مواقف عمه أبي طالب
.
من تربيته وهو في الثامنة من عمره ، ورعايته له ، فكان حريصاً
.
على هدايته قبل موته ، ويستغفر له بعد موته حتى نهي عن ذلك .
.
وكان من وفائه لأصحابه موقفه مع حاطب بن أبي بلتعة
.
مع ما بدر منه حين أفشى سر الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم
.
وصحبه الكرام في أشد المواقف خطورة ، حيث كتب إلى قريش
.
يخبرها بمقدم رسول الله وجيشه، فعفى عنه
.
الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وفاءاً لأهل بدر ،
.
وقال : ( إنه قد شهد بدراً ، وما يدريك لعل الله اطلع على
.
أهل بدر ، فقال اعملوا ما شئتم فقد غفرت لكم )
.
رواه البخاري و مسلم
.
أما وفاؤه لأعدائه فظاهر كما في صلح الحديبة ،
.
حيث كان ملتزماً بالشروط وفياً مع قريش ،
.
فعن أنس رضي الله عنه أن قريشا صالحوا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم
.
، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لعلي :
.
( اكتب بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ،
.
قال سهيل
.
: أما باسم الله فما ندري ما بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ، ولكن
.
اكتب ما نعرف: باسمك اللهم ،
.
فقال : اكتب من محمد رسول الله ،
.
قالوا : لو علمنا أنك رسول الله لاتبعناك
.
، ولكن اكتب اسمك ، واسم أبيك ،
.
فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم :
.
اكتب من محمد بن عبد الله ، فاشترطوا على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ،
.
أن من جاء منكم لم نرده عليكم ، ومن جاءكم منا رددتموه علينا ،
.
فقالوا : يا رسول الله أنكتب هذا ، قال نعم ،
.
إنه من ذهب منا إليهم فأبعده الله ، ومن جاءنا منهم
.
سيجعل الله له فرجا ومخرجا) رواه مسلم .
.
وتم إرجاع أبي بصير مع مجيئه مسلماً وفاءاً بالعهد

.
. وعن حذيفة بن اليمان قال : ما منعني أن أشهد بدراً
.
إلا أني خرجت أنا وأبي حسيل ، فأخذنا كفار قريش ،
.
قالوا : إنكم تريدون محمدا ، فقلنا : ما نريده ، ما نريد
.
إلا المدينة ، فأخذوا منا عهد الله وميثاقه لننصرفن إلى المدينة
.
، ولا نقاتل معه ، فأتينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
.
فأخبرناه الخبر ، فقال

انصرفا ، نفي لهم بعهدهم، ونستعين الله عليهم) رواه مسلم.
.
وعدّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نقض العهد ، وإخلاف الوعد من علامات المنافقين
.
، فقال : (آية المنافق ثلاث : إذا حدث كذب ، وإذا وعد أخلف
.
، وإذا اؤتمن خان) رواه البخاري ومسلم.
.
هذا هو وفاء النبي العظيم ، أَنْعِم به من خلق كريم ،
.
تعددت مجالاته ، وتنوعت مظاهره ، فكان لكل صنف من الناس

نصيب من وفاءه صلى الله عليه وسلم

.
معاملة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لأهله قد جمعت مكارم الأخلاق
.
، ووصفها يطول، ولكن الوصف الجامع لتلك المعاملة هو
.
قول الله تعالى: (وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ) [القلم:4]
.
فقد كان صلى الله عليه وسلم يمازح الصغير والكبير ولا يغضب لحظ نفسه
،
بل يغضب إذا انتهكت حرمات الله عز وجل، وكان صلى الله عليه وسلم
.
متواضعاً، يخصف نعله ويرقع ثوبه، ويعامل نساءه بمقدارهن
.
وإدراكهن، وربما سابقهن كما صح في الحديث أنه سابق عائشة.
.
وما كان يعيب طعاماً قط بل إن اشتهاه أكله وإلا سكت،
.
وأخلاقه صلى الله عليه وسلم في معاملته لأهله أعظم من أن يحيط
.
بها أحد

Why should you pray upon the prophet Muhammed (pbuh) ??

في تسامح النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام

ما أعظم ما تعرض له النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام من ايذاء لأجل نشر رسالته العظيمة التي بعثها اليه الله عز وجل.
وعلي الرغم من من ذلك كان النبي يتسامح مع من أذوه كثيراً والادله علي ذلك كثيرة فمنها... ذلك الرجل الذي كان يضع القمامه عند بيت رسول الله صلي الله علية وسلم وعلي الرغم من ذلك كان الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام لا يغضب ابدا منه... وعندما لم يجد الرسول في يوم ان القمامه ليست موجوده ذهب ليطمئن علي ذلك الرجل... هل رايتم تسامح اعظم من ذلك؟
وعندما يُفعل بنا ذلك نغضب كثيرا ونقاطع ولكن النبي فعل عكس ذلك تماماً.
هذه واحده .. والاعظم عند فتح مكة عندما دخل رسول الله مكة ومعه عشرة الاف من الانصار والمهاجرين..قال النبي يا معشر قريش ان الله قد أذهب عنكم نخوة الجاهلية وتعظمها بالاباء؛ الناس من آدم وآدم من تراب ثم تلي قول الله تعالي" يأيها الناس انا خلقنكم من ذكر وانثي وجعلنكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا ان اكرمكم عند الله اتقكم ان الله عليم خبير" الحجرات
ثم قال " يا معشر قريش ما ترون أني فاعل بكم؟ قالوا: خيرا أخ كريم وأبن اخ كريم ؛ قال " اذهبوا فأنتم الطلقاء" فعفا عنهم بعد ان امكنه الله منهم.
هل رأيتم تسامح وعفو مثل ذلك بعدما أخرجوه من بلده وعذبوا اصحابه وحاربوه وعلي الرغم من ذلك قأنه في قوته وهو في ضعفهم لم يستغل ذلك بل عفي وتسامح معهم ما اعظو نبينا عليه الصلاة والسلام.
